HANDMADE IN UTAH
Inspired by the stunning landscapes of the wild and the human experience within it, Anna Hansen's work focuses on the creatures of the natural world and our part within the narrative of this ever changing planet. Her work is mainly centered around block printing from hand carved pieces that she presses onto textiles. Each design is born from a love of creation, the wilderness, and the joy in exploring and expanding our awareness of life on Earth.
After earning a BFA in Printmaking and a Certificate in Book Arts from the University of Utah, Anna spent two years teaching in Southern California, where the concept of the Hex Press was born. After returning to Utah she acquired the mobile printing press that she is best known for, bringing it onsite to markets and events to share the love and magic of printmaking with the community. She continues to teach workshops and classes in both printmaking and book arts in Salt Lake City.
